Minutes of OARS Meeting

February 1, 2008

The meeting of the Oroville Amateur Radio Society was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by  President  Larry Thompson.  Bob Oden  introduced John Gulserian, Emergency Service Officer for Butte County, who offered the program, The Emergency Management System.

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Approximately 25 Individual members and guests introduced themselves.  The three new Extra Class licensees, Ed Thomas, Gary Clark, and Larry Thompson were given a special introduction. 

The Treasurer’s report as prepared by Dorence Young was read by John Hunt.   

The minutes of the February meeting were read and approved.  

Howard Fairbanks has been asked to contact Lee Hutchins for the April program.  

Members were reminded that Field Day will be the fourth weekend in Jun.  President Larry asked for a volunteer to be the Public Information Officer.  There were no volunteers at this time. Members were reminded that a joint luncheon with the Yuba-Sutter Amateur Radio Society to be held at the Gold Country Casino Buffet is pending.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
