Minutes of OARS Meeting

June 6, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by President Larry Thompson and led the members in the flag salute. 

Minutes of the May meeting were read by Howard Fairbanks and approved as corrected.

Bob Oden gave a report on Emergency Service Cards.

Treasurers Report was presented by Dorence Young and approved as read.

Dorence Young has submitted Field Day information to the Oroville Mercury Register.  Howard Fairbanks will check on port-a-potty through John Ford at Department of Water Resources.   Bill Cross is responsible for the key to the gate.  Bob Oden will provide a generator.  Gary Clark will provide a trailer.  Larry Thompson will make a sign for the site.  John Hunt’s wife, Linda, will provide dinner on Saturday evening.

The July meeting will be held on the 11^th of July because of the regular meeting falling on the 4^th of July.  The meeting will be held at the home of John Hunt with a potluck beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Members approved the purchase a pop-up tent for the club. Dorence Young will make the purchase.

The business meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m. at which time a Half Square antenna presentation was conducted by Erik Bayer.
