Board Meeting

July 24, 2008

The board meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by President Larry Thompson. 

Attendees:  Dorence Young, Gary Clark, William Cross, John Hunt, Larry Thompson, Eric Bayer, Bob Oden, and Howard Fairbanks.

Emergency services were discussed at length and our potential participation in as much as many members are now carrying emergency services cards.  It was suggested that we need a call out roster much like a telephone tree.  Eric has been asked to contact Mr. Green regarding the potential purchase of the 147.105 Willows Repeater.  Larry stated that Sprint has equipment to loan for emergency purposes. 

September 9^th has been set for the Technician Cram Class to be conducted by Bill Cross.  Study material to be given out one week prior for preparatory study.  Newspaper coverage including the Digger is needed to stimulate interest and Dorence will make that contact. 

Eric is in charge of the Berry Creek Festival booth for Amateur demonstration purposes.  It will take place on August 9^th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Berry Creek Grange.  Larry will file the application for the event.   

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
